Investor Management

The Investor Management page allows you to view, register, and manage all investors across your organization.

Accessing Investor Management

  1. Navigate to your organization dashboard
  2. Click "Investors" in the sidebar navigation
  3. You'll see a list of all investors in your organization

Investors List

The investors list displays:

  • Investor Name: Full name of the investor
  • Investor Code: Unique identifier
  • Email: Contact email address
  • Phone: Contact phone number
  • Type: Individual or Institutional
  • Status: Active, Inactive, or Pending
  • Total Investments: Number of funds invested in
  • Actions: Quick actions menu

Registering a New Investor

Step-by-Step Registration

  1. Click the "Register Investor" button at the top of the investors list
  2. Fill in the registration form:

Required Information

  • Full Name: Legal name of the investor
  • Investor Code: Unique identifier (auto-generated if not provided)
  • Email: Primary contact email
  • Phone: Contact phone number
  • Investor Type: Select Individual or Institutional
  • Address: Physical address (optional but recommended)

Additional Information

  • Tax ID: Tax identification number
  • Date of Birth: For individual investors
  • Registration Date: When the investor registered
  • Notes: Any additional information
  1. Click "Register" to create the investor account

After Registration

Once an investor is registered:

  • They appear in the investors list
  • You can view their detailed profile
  • You can process unit purchases for them
  • They can be assigned to funds

Viewing Investor Details

  1. Click on an investor's name in the list
  2. The investor detail page shows:
    • Profile Information: Contact details and identification
    • Investment Summary: Total investments across all funds
    • Fund Holdings: List of funds the investor has invested in
    • Transaction History: All unit purchases and surrenders
    • Documents: Associated documents and records

Managing Investors

Editing Investor Information

  1. Navigate to the investor detail page
  2. Click "Edit" to modify information
  3. Update the relevant fields
  4. Save changes

Investor Actions

From the investors list or detail page:

  • View Details: See full investor profile and history
  • Process Purchase: Initiate a unit purchase transaction
  • Process Surrender: Process a unit surrender/redemption
  • View Transactions: See all transaction history
  • Export Data: Download investor information

Searching and Filtering

Search Functionality

  • Search Bar: Search by name, code, email, or phone
  • Real-time Results: Results update as you type

Filtering Options

  • Investor Type: Filter by Individual or Institutional
  • Status: Filter by Active, Inactive, or Pending
  • Fund: Show investors for a specific fund
  • Date Range: Filter by registration date

Investor Types

Individual Investors

  • Personal investors investing their own funds
  • Require personal identification information
  • May have different fee structures

Institutional Investors

  • Companies, trusts, or other entities
  • Require business registration information
  • May have different reporting requirements

Investor Statuses

Active

Investor is active and can make investments. All transactions are allowed.

Inactive

Investor account is inactive. New investments may be restricted.

Pending

Investor registration is pending approval or verification.

Unit Purchases and Surrenders

Processing Unit Purchases

  1. Navigate to the investor detail page
  2. Click "Process Purchase" or "Unit Purchase"
  3. Select the fund
  4. Enter the investment amount
  5. Select payment method
  6. Enter transaction date
  7. Submit the transaction

Processing Unit Surrenders

  1. Navigate to the investor detail page
  2. Click "Process Surrender" or "Unit Surrender"
  3. Select the fund and units to surrender
  4. Enter surrender amount
  5. Select payment method
  6. Enter transaction date
  7. Submit the transaction

Best Practices

  1. Complete Information: Ensure all required fields are filled accurately
  2. Unique Codes: Use consistent investor code formats
  3. Regular Updates: Keep investor contact information current
  4. Document Verification: Verify identification documents for compliance
  5. Transaction Records: Maintain detailed transaction history

Compliance and Reporting

  • KYC Compliance: Ensure Know Your Customer requirements are met
  • Document Storage: Keep investor documents securely stored
  • Audit Trail: All investor actions are logged for audit purposes
  • Reporting: Generate investor reports for regulatory compliance
