Chart of Accounts

The Chart of Accounts page displays all accounts in your fund's accounting system, organized by account category.

Accessing Chart of Accounts

  1. Navigate to a fund's accounting overview
  2. Click "Chart of Accounts" or "Accounts" in the sidebar
  3. You'll see the Chart of Accounts page

Account Categories

Accounts are organized into categories:

  • Assets: Cash, investments, receivables
  • Liabilities: Payables, accrued expenses
  • Equity: Fund capital, retained earnings
  • Income: Investment income, fees received
  • Expenses: Management fees, operating expenses

Account Information

Each account displays:

  • Account Code: Unique account identifier
  • Account Name: Descriptive account name
  • Category: Account category
  • Type: Asset, Liability, Equity, Income, or Expense
  • Current Balance: Current account balance
  • Debit/Credit: Normal balance type

Viewing Account Details

Click on an account to see:

  • Account Information: Full account details
  • Transaction History: All transactions affecting the account
  • Balance History: Balance changes over time
  • Related Accounts: Linked accounts

Account Management

Viewing Balances

  • Current Balances: Real-time account balances
  • Historical Balances: Balance history
  • Balance Trends: Visual balance trends

Searching Accounts

  • Search by account code or name
  • Filter by account category
  • Filter by account type
