Gains & Losses

The Gains & Losses page tracks unrealized and realized profit and loss for your fund's portfolio.

Accessing Gains & Losses​

  1. Navigate to a fund's accounting overview
  2. Click "Gains & Losses" in the sidebar
  3. You'll see the Gains & Losses page

Unrealized P&L​

By Asset Class​

  • Equity P&L: Unrealized gains/losses on equity holdings
  • Bond P&L: Unrealized gains/losses on bond holdings
  • Total Unrealized P&L: Combined unrealized P&L

By Security​

View unrealized P&L for each security:

  • Security Name: Name of the security
  • Cost Basis: Original purchase cost
  • Market Value: Current market value
  • Unrealized P&L: Profit or loss
  • P&L %: Percentage gain or loss

Realized P&L​

Realized Gains/Losses​

From completed transactions:

  • Sale Date: When the security was sold
  • Security: Security that was sold
  • Cost Basis: Original purchase cost
  • Sale Proceeds: Amount received from sale
  • Realized P&L: Profit or loss realized
  • P&L %: Percentage gain or loss

Total P&L​

Combined realized and unrealized:

  • Total Realized P&L: All realized gains/losses
  • Total Unrealized P&L: All unrealized gains/losses
  • Total P&L: Combined total
  • Total P&L %: Overall percentage return
