Bond Portfolio Management
The Bond Portfolio section allows you to view, manage, and track all bond investments in your fund.
Accessing Bond Portfolio
- Navigate to a fund's portfolio overview
- Click "View Bond Portfolio" or "Bonds" in the sidebar
- You'll see the Bond Portfolio page
Bond Holdings Table
The bond holdings table displays:
- Bond Name: Name of the bond issue
- ISIN/CUSIP: Bond identifier
- Face Value: Par value of the bond
- Quantity: Number of bonds held
- Purchase Price: Original purchase price
- Current Price: Latest market price
- Market Value: Current total value
- Cost Basis: Total original cost
- Accrued Interest: Accrued interest amount
- P&L: Profit or loss (unrealized)
- Yield: Current yield
Adding Bond Transactions
Transaction Types
Purchase (Buy)
- Transaction Date: Date of purchase
- Bond Details: Bond identifier and details
- Quantity: Number of bonds
- Price: Purchase price per bond
- Accrued Interest: Accrued interest at purchase
- Commission: Trading fees
Sale (Sell)
- Transaction Date: Date of sale
- Bond Details: Bond identifier
- Quantity: Number of bonds to sell
- Price: Sale price per bond
- Accrued Interest: Accrued interest at sale
- Commission: Trading fees
Bond-Specific Features
Accrued Interest
Bonds accrue interest daily:
- Daily Accrual: Interest accrues between coupon payments
- Purchase Accrual: Accrued interest at purchase (paid to seller)
- Sale Accrual: Accrued interest at sale (received from buyer)
- Coupon Payments: Record coupon payments received
Yield Calculations
- Current Yield: Annual interest / Market price
- Yield to Maturity: Total return if held to maturity
- Yield to Call: Return if called before maturity
